I'm coming to the conclusion it's an aesthetic thing. One of the things about enjoying queer sex is that you like the aesthetic of similarity - of breasts againsts breasts and hips against hips. There doesn't have to be a contrast for it to be hot. So cock sliding against cock would have a similar aesthetic appeal. Of course, if one partner is curvy and the other skinny, or one dark-skinned and the other pale, i'm not sure this holds up.

There are three main reasons I like boy-on-boy action.

1. Boys kissing is pretty. Boys are pretty, and watching them kiss is pretty because, well, they're both pretty and pretty people kissing is good to watch whatever gender they are. This is, maybe, an open-mindedness thing - I enjoyed watching my female lover snog my male lover on Saturday, and I'd have enjoyed watching dennyd snog the same male lover in exactly the same way. Although possibly a bit more because it's less likely and therefore more rare and exciting. In fact, "rare and exciting" might sum up a lot of the appeal - although we move in very gay/bi circles, I haven't seen that much M/M action (all my gay friends are coy and none of my male bi friends have got it on with each other while I'm there) and damnit, I want to watch the boys get it on.

2. Male/male romance is dead cool and romantic because it disabuses two misrepresentative stereotypes; that men aren't romantic, and that gay sex is just about the cock. Male/male cock action is cool because yay, sexual liberation, we live in amazing times, yeah boys go for it, beat the heteronormative system. In short: while I would love queer action to be as normal and unexciting as heterosexual action, it isn't yet, so until then I'm going to enjoy seeing people who are willing and able to be queer in public despite the continuing mainstream taboo against it.

3. I'm kinky, which may or may not have anything to do with also being bi. One of the consequences of this is that I really like a) forceful blowjobs and b) anal sex. Male/male sex tends to have both of these things. It is very hot.
