I hate naming things.
Oct. 12th, 2009 03:28 pmWords. Tricksy little buggers.
So, you're using an online shop. You click 'buy' on something shiny. The place the site stores the list of shiny things which you intend to buy should best be named... what?
PS: I'm in a really good mood today. Apparently the euphoria of having the first serious client sign up for some work from Shiny Ideas (on Friday just gone) is going to hang around and/or recur for a while. Which is nice :)

Jun. 13th, 2009 11:39 amI wasn't entirely sure about Liminal Minds as a webdev brand, and
helenic (my partner in crime the proposed webdev company) was actively opposed to it. The survey yesterday seems to say that although some people like it, some people really don't, which isn't ideal for a business name.
So, next attempt:
Again, comments welcome. The domain name would be shinyideas.co.uk

How about Shiny Ideas as a webdev company/brand?
Again, comments welcome. The domain name would be shinyideas.co.uk
Given my recent entry into the ranks of the unemployed, I thought this might be a good time to try to start my own webdev company, so I don't have to get out of bed in the mornings give a 'boss' a share of my hard-earned cash any more. (Yes, it might also be a really bad time, what with the economy collapsing and nobody spending money on websites.)
Anyway. A while back I bought the domain name liminalminds.com because I liked the sound of it...
Plus, y'know, freestyle in the comments. What associations would the name have for you, what would you think if you heard it as a company name, blah blah.
