OK, so far your diet hasn't really included anything _real_, ie. anything that might be worthwhile in the vitamin area. have you maybe thought about getting a bit more fresh food (fruit/veg) and less of the snacks/junk food? It really could help your body heal itself very much quicker...

P.S. - congratulations on being able to eat so much random crap and still have a great body. *Pout* Wish I could do the same... ;-P

The only healthy thing that I generally eat (but I eat it quite often) is fresh pasta. I seem to be having a particularly junk-food-y period at present, but hopefully you'll see some slightly more useful meals consumed over the next week.

I assume you're not counting zero calorie drinks like water. Otherwise I would be really worried by the absence of liquids.

I don't drink water. Anyway, the Milton Keynes water is so full of clay it would probably class as 'food' ;)

I have drunk very little the last couple of days, I'm not sure why it's working out that way. I'm wondering if it's because it's difficult for me to wander downstairs and get stuff out of the fridge, so I subconciously repress thirst signals.

This is one of the sorts of things I want to pick up by doing this listing process...

You can get mini fridges (http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Search?storeId=10001&catalogId=1001&langId=-1&searchTerms=fridge&viewType=seeAll&sortBy_1=16384&searchScope=458&searchType=&maxResults=2&fltrCatIds_1=9812&catId_1=8245&catName_1=Fridge+freezers&catHits_1=61&catId_2=8243&catName_2=Fridges&catHits_2=16&catId_3=9812&catName_3=Executive+gadgets&catHits_3=2&catId_4=8244&catName_4=Freezers&catHits_4=1).

I'll ask my sister about lending you hers if you like, seeing as APU won't let her have it in her room. Subject to be able to get it to MK of course.

Various supermarkets stock high fruit content cordials under variations on the name of "high juice", which don't go off in the bottle and make water a hell of a lot more palatable.

Try gently pinching the skin on the back of your hand, holding it for a few seconds and then releasing it. Does it quickly go back to normal? If it doesn't you are getting seriously dehydrated and really need to drink more.

Do you like any fruit juices? You can just take the cartoon upstairs with you.

You body can cope a lot more easily with a junk food diet than it can with dehydration, it will slow your healing time down a lot.

The skin looks normal to me the second I let it go - what's it supposed to do if there's a problem?

I like very cold fruit juice - warm, I find it distinctly less appetising - same for most drinks. I've been trying to compromise by having bottles of Orangina kicking around, which doesn't taste too foul warm and (I'm guessing) has some sort of useful vitamin content compared to stuff like 7UP.

If there is a serious problem the skin takes longer to relax back to normal.

Do you have a reasonably sized freezer. If so freeze some fruit juice in trays and add it to a large jug of juice that you have in the fridge to keep it colder for longer. Add more of the frozen juice as required.

Or get yourself some of the better quality ice lollies and have them instead.
