I just wonder what the hell's going on. However recent reading of Britain Unwrapped (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/0140291709) makes it painfully clear that the government, in fact the executive, has just as much power as it wants to take.

I suspect it's time to take all the recent reading I've bene doing on politics and rights and start doing more writing. Britain seems to have a chronic lack of (particularly professionally written) liberal blogs, while the US has shown their importance as a media source.
