Bah! I want one for Cambridge. Does LSV agree with your strategy, then?

No, I'm very happy to report that they recommend a Green vote, with convincing diagrams to back them up. w00t.

Yays! *relaxes again*

p.s. clearly I don't know your postcode because I get LibDems for you, but I *assume* you know where you live ;)

Hrm, actually you're right. Which makes the site fairly useless, because there aren't three LibDem candidates in my area - there's only one.

The postcode search wasn't working this morning, so I navigated directly to the Colliers Wood ward.

From their graphs it looks like it doesn't much matter who I vote for - Labour had more than 50% of the vote last time.

Mmm, I got Lavender Fields for you. Poot. What do you reckon then for the other two?

We know :)

Shame, it doesn't look like there's much to be done here, bit of a Labour stronghold. Meh.

On the other hand, that frees me up to not vote strategically for Tory, which was paining me as a concept.

I'm not so sure - if you take the generals as indicative of a trend in decline of support for Labour that's carried on since then, then it's only about a 4% swing to get Labour out, isn't it?

I got to harangue one of the candidate councillors for the Respect party on my way into work. His attitude was "I can't be bothered to argue with you, because you've already cast your vote". It was, however, interesting that the way he acted sounded just like his boss.

That link suggests I vote Respect for all three votes. Not a chance. :-)

Eww. Yeah, I wouldn't want to be doing that. Can you see a likely second option from the graphs?

Well, the thing is I'm not so sure I agree with the full sentiment of that site, that Labour in councils is such a bad thing, so I voted for one Lab and 2 LD. I find it to be a pity that Oona King isn't standing in my ward, as although she was a dreadful MP in lots of ways (toed the party line on national and international policy) her local policy stuff was really good, and she would have made a very good councillor.

While I understand about the message of local council elections, I also don't want my local council to spend all their time talking about the war in Iraq rather than recycling, traffic, interaction with the police and fire services and other things that local councils are there to sort out.
