I've decided to use up my remaining holiday entitlement by taking Friday off. For the rest of the year :)

Actually I'm working this Friday, given that it's polite to give a week or more notice for holiday, but then it's 3-day weekends for me all the way to Xmas. And that still leaves me with two days of holiday entitlement in hand - which I'll probably use up sometime between Xmas and New Year.

Mmmm, 3-day weekends...

I rather enjoyed the four-day weekend just gone, so hopefully this will have some of the same relaxing feel to it - although without your delightful company, I'm sure it won't be quite the same :)

Eeeeeeeeee! Bounce! Shall I come earlier then? I'm still not going to be able to get there much before 3 as I'm working in the morning, but - rah :) This means I *can* come and get changed at yours rather than meeting you in Camden, which is much much better :)

I think you missed the 'not this week' bit. But if you're happy to travel to mine during the afternoon, why don't you aim to reach mine around 5 or 6, and then we've got four or five hours before we want to be at SC, which is about an hour's drive away.

Bah. So I did, such was my eagerness to respond.

Let me get Tea and I shall ping you on msn, if you're not too busy?

The standard notice period for holiday, which I think is a reasonable guide is "twice the length of the holiday you're taking" in business days...

But yeah, I'm considering something similar... :-)

Have you worked a four-day week before? It's a real luxury - enjoy it while it lasts ;)

I wouldn;t have lasted in present job without it. Thankfully, only 2 weeks left here...

No, I haven't... I'm looking forward to it more the more I think about it. In fact, I feel more relaxed already, and it's still 10 or so days to my first day off :)
