denny: Photo of my face in profile - looking to the right (Default)

Life continues to be a minor emotional rollercoaster. Had some very good moments this weekend, but managed to have it finished off with an unexpected kick in the teeth. To be fair, the length of the good times far outweighed the bad, but it's still a bit crap to finish on a low note.

And now, back to the Monday morning joys of being a sysadmin. I seriously need to discuss my job description at my next assessment...

This week, I very much hope and expect to be made rich, and then to become largely out of debt. This will be a Good Thing™ and should cheer me up quite a bit. Then I can start looking for shiny cars, which will no doubt cheer me up even more... spending 7 or 8 grand is retail therapy in the extreme :) Also, I think I see a new PC in my very near future... that should keep me amused while I look for the right car.

I do not have enough glitter to throw at this news. I am so glad, love.

I saw a glitter-gun this weekend :) It was basically a reloadable vaguely gun-shaped party-popper, which you could load with cartridges of shiny confetti.

*bang!* Shiny!

~grin~ You'd better have an awfully good reason for not having bought that for me. Glitter and a gun? If it played 'Girls On Film' while you fired it it couldn't be more perfectly designed for me...

It wasn't in a shop. Anyway, I wasn't sure about things that go 'bang' - aren't kittens usually touchy about sudden noises?

Mmm, good point. I think maybe if I was *firing* the thing that went 'bang', and I knew I'd get glitter at the end of the 'bang', it might not be so bad. I'll keep an eye out. :)

Miss you, y'know. You up for visitors yet at all?

Not as such, no, I was thinking maybe next week 'cause this week's looking a little bizarre from here.
