Now to figure out how to interpret it. I notice most people that I've seen have all the big names clustered around the centre, whereas mine seems a bit more dispersed... maybe the large names further away are people I should get to know better? *goes to poke the mind map site*

I think you get brackets when you have a mindmap done and are therefore clickable.

You can be a node if you want. You're actually a branch-end node on my social network diagrams though - the only person I know of through you is redcountess, afaict.

I'm pleasantly surprised at how well I know many of the people on this diagram actually. Perhaps this intahweb thingy has some connection with reality after all.
