Went to the gym again this evening. To my (pleased) surprise, it was easy. The only thing that gave me pause at all was the final 8 minute 'cool-down' on the cross-trainer, halfway through which I was knackered. About a minute after that I trudged over some crucial tedium/endorphin crest and went wheeeeeee for the remaining three minutes, then decided to ignore the bus, opting to walk the 2 miles home instead. I feel distinctly perky now.

My favourite cool down from any for of exercise is to walk home.
I'm getting a lot of good exercise from learning club swinging - it is very very good for shoulders and upper arms.

yes gym.... the delights of the gym... mine shut down so i went to a new one, fitness first - and i love the cross trainers they have there! i definitely get some kinda "high" while cross-training, i must look proper mad flying along fast on it, and grinning... really enjoying myself...

those endorphins really *do* work :D

i do what is called "interval training" where you go fast for a minute, rest a few seconds (to bring your heart rate back down a bit) then go fast again for another minute, then rest again, and so on. apparently it's a really good way to kick-start the metabolism...

i just love training, heehee!

Fartleck training. Tis very good for working your cardiovascular fitness. Most commonly used by runners but good for everyone! :) <./runner>
