http://users.skynet.be/J.Beever/batman.html is beyond impressive.
In other news, I went to the gym this evening. Everything was a bit easier than I expected, except the arm exercises (bicep and tricep) which were every bit as painful as I thought they'd be. My general stamina isn't quite as sucky as I thought it might be, and I'm hopeful that my overall fitness might pick up quite quickly if I keep this up. The arms might take some work though :)
Oh yes, and I forgot to mention the other day... when I went for the induction session on Friday, they weighed me. It turns out I'm not quite as scrawny as I thought... I'm just over 10 and a half stone, rather than somewhere around 9 and a half which is what I was last time I weighed myself. Hopefully it'll go up a bit more over the next few months, as I build up a bit of muscle.

new musclefibers need protein.
Date: 2006-01-15 09:00 pm (UTC)To build muscles, your body needs more protein than normal, about 3 times your body-weight. (Protein is what "feeds" the new musclefibers)
I think 10.5 stone is about 66.6 kilo?
So you should make sure your diet gives you (66.6 x 3 =199.9)about 200 gram protein every day.
So eat fish, eggs, meat, and milk-products. (Cottage cheese, Kesam, youghert)
-Fruit, vegtables also have protein, but those proteins lack some of the aminoacids that your new musclefibers need to grow.
If you're not sure you get enough/correct protein, try some protein-shakes. (Your gym probably sell those)
