I have no clue what it's coming with... XP Home, I think. I'll be installing Debian Testing on it for my own use. I have to confess I don't know anything about the 64 bit readiness of either...

If it was XP Pro then you'd be able to upgrade (https://microsoft.productorder.com/clientx64/default.aspx) for nothing to 64bit Windows. Should you want to, of course.

I've had an A64 3500+ for a while now, and have been running 64bit Fedora on it just fine. The main annoyance is the lack of 64bit plugins for 64bit Mozilla...
