I am reminded this morning that not all of my friends and family know how to spot a hoax email.

The most important clue is this one: any email that contains the words "forward this to everyone in your address book" should be deleted on sight - it will invariably be crap (either a hoax or a crappy chain letter).

You can check for hoaxes here:

Crappy chain letters are a matter of taste - I'm talking about those 'send this to your best friends to show how much you love them' things that read like a Clintons card. I hate them - please don't send them to me :)

I have a policy of throwing chain letters in the bin (recycle bin or actual) also telling whoever has sent me them not to do so again. I was mildly tempted by the chain letter pyramid 'pairs of knickers' scheme going round at work (I kid you not) but still said no.

I'm not sure I have enough spare pairs of knickers to send a pair to ten people!

I had a marvellous realisation today that I am now at the happy place I wanted to be two years ago; I can wear matching knickers and bras every day of the week!
