I don't do this very often, but here's a bit of pirated music for you. Well, I've bought it, but you can run up the skull and crossbones while you download it:
http://new.metamathics.org/personal/denny/Played-A-Live__Safri_Duo.ogg
http://new.metamathics.org/personal/denny/Samb-Adagio__Safri_Duo.ogg
(Winamp will play OGG files, I assume iTunes and WMP will cope too although I have no idea)
Then if you like it, you can go and buy the album from this general vicinity:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Episode-II-Safri-Duo/dp/B0000659NN/
(I link to Amazon even more rarely, as I refuse to use them personally due to the one-click patent - however, the album is really worth owning, and play.com sadly don't stock the 2CD edition of it)

RIP Chris Lightfoot

Chris was one of the core coders involved in MySociety, TheyWorkForYou, FaxYourMP, and many other incredibly cool website projects, culminating in the PM's petitions website. I would guess a number of the Cambridge people on my friends list probably knew him... I met him once, very briefly, he was a nice guy. I didn't realise what a phenomenal amount of stuff he'd done until I started reading the links from the linked post though.

Oh yes, that reminds me...
Mar. 5th, 2007 09:36 pm...anyone who sends "I just lost The Game" messages on Twitter, I will remove from my friends list on there (unless the context is particularly amusing/interesting/entertaining). Sames goes for my LJ friends list for that matter. The Game has moved on, evolved, gone meta - shotgun broadcasts about losing aren't funny any more. If they ever were. Get imaginative, people.
PS: Sorry to anyone who just lost. I did try to think of a way of making my point without triggering anyone, but it was a bit of a non-starter really.
