Monies...

Following on from yesterday's post about having my bank account emptied by criminals:

This would be a nice time for anyone who owes me money to try really hard to pay me it back - or even part of it.

I'd really appreciate it.

I know everyone has hard times with money, and that's why sometimes I offer to lend it to people who need it when I do have it myself - as I did for parts of last year and the year before. However, some of those loans have been sitting out there for a long time now, and some of those people haven't been broke for all those months. It would really help to maintain my faith in the people I know if the karmic balance could swing my way this month - I really do need it. Thanks.

Second time lucky...

Went to the gym again this evening. To my (pleased) surprise, it was easy. The only thing that gave me pause at all was the final 8 minute 'cool-down' on the cross-trainer, halfway through which I was knackered. About a minute after that I trudged over some crucial tedium/endorphin crest and went wheeeeeee for the remaining three minutes, then decided to ignore the bus, opting to walk the 2 miles home instead. I feel distinctly perky now.

The same feature of close couples that makes them very good at games like Taboo and Pictionary, makes them horrendous Game players. Every mental trigger one develops, the other catches; and sometimes they develop in both minds literally simultaneously. For example; this, yesterday:

Everyone: *watching Battlestar Galactica*
libellum: Oh look, the BLACK MAN is controlling the BLACK MARKET.
libellum and dennyd: (in unison) See what they did there? :D
Everyone: ...
libellum and dennyd: (in unison) I just lost The Game. :(
Everyone: *cracks up*
