"Ho ho ho, Merry Christmas"
Dec. 16th, 2006 01:15 pmMy dad just rang to let me know that my nan, his mum, died last night. In her sleep, of a known heart condition, but not something that anybody saw coming - she was still very perky and cheerful and there was nothing frail about her. So a bit of a shock.
She was my last surviving grandparent, and my favourite one, so this would be my sad face. I'm glad that I did at least speak to her a few days ago. I'm pretty crap at keeping in touch with family, and usually only managed to talk to her every month or so when she rang up to see how I was doing - but I just randomly decided to ring her on the way home from work earlier this week and she sounded really pleased to hear from me.
I'm off to a party tonight and will have lots of friends around me. This is a Good Thing™.
