Waaaah! Bad!!
Jun. 9th, 2005 12:43 pmGah. Somebody reversed into my car. I've only had it two bloody weeks!
No major damage, fortunately, just smashed the front numberplate mount and crazed the paint behind it where the metal popped in and out.
Of course, I only saw this happen at a distance, and they fucked off before I got close enough to get their registration. Clearly, all Volvo drivers must die.

Scary reading...
Jun. 9th, 2005 02:53 pmIn other news, I got a copy of the follow-up consultant's report on my leg (etc) today. It's pretty grim-reading, mostly the projected problems in the future - all of which seem unfortunately likely given the weird grindy things my knee currently does from time to time. He's asked for some MRI scans to be done before he'll finalise the report, which should be interesting - they'll hopefully show the extent of the ligament damage and possibly show the development of or likelihood of development of (osteo)arthritis.
Although nothing about this is particularly cheerful reading, it does at least mean things can move along another step - my solicitor is now going to set up a meeting between her, myself, and a "fairly senior" barrister, as the extent of my injuries mean that the claim is likely to be quite significant (which no doubt means Direct Line will put up quite a struggle).

Just for a change, I bought some new shiny things this evening. I'll take photos tomorrow when the sun is up again.
