Bleurgh...
Sep. 23rd, 2004 12:14 pmToday I don't feel too good. Sort of flat. I think the constant background pain is starting to wear me down again, I remember it doing this last year now that I think about it.
Leg hurts a bit more today, swelling continues to reduce very very very slowly. Overall, I don't think I'm much recovered from how I was on Monday. It's looking more and more like I'm going to be stuck on crutches again for quite a while. Contemplating that possibility leaves me close to tears... I want to protest that this setback is 'unfair' - like the world was ever fair or unfair... the world just is. Self-demonstrating, no less. Oh well.
On the bright side, my boss came over to say good things about the work I did while I was working from home - the stuff that was really bloody-minded - so I feel a bit better about the struggles I had with getting that to work right, and the apparently lack of productivity it caused.
Mind you, as a reward I've been given the task of installing some stats and monitoring software on a cluster of Win2k servers running IIS. Gee thanks. Next time I won't finish working on the current Perl task until the next Perl task comes up ;)

The google/image meme...
Sep. 23rd, 2004 04:20 pmDespite not having done anyone else's, I'm going to post the google/image meme:
1. Think of a word you would use to describe me.
2. Go to Google Image Search and search for that word.
3. Select the picture you see as most fitting, and post it (or a link to it) as a reply, along with the word.
4. Post this meme in your journal (if you particularly feel like it)
