denny: (This way up)
When I first get online each day, one of the things I do is have a root through the stuff SpamAssassin filtered out overnight, just to see if anything glaringly non-spam catches my eye. So far nothing has.

What did catch my eye today however, was the subject of the top-most spam in the Quarantine folder... "At last! Intelligent spam filtering software!"

Yes, thanks :)

Two articles just out on this...

The first: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2003/12/05/ntesco05.xml&sSheet=/news/2003/12/05/ixhome.html
"The MPs suggested that loyalty cards could be used to identify customers who bought excessive amounts of foods high in fat, sugar and salt, and asked whether supermarkets could use this information to promote healthier alternatives to these customers."

The second: http://media.guardian.co.uk/advertising/story/0,7492,1099981,00.html
"David Hinchliffe, the MP who was instrumental in securing a ban on tobacco advertising earlier this year, suggested supermarkets' loyalty cards could be used to monitor eating habits."

Funny, you'd expect to hear more about this kind of thing, what with the free press and all:

For those playing Kings of Chaos, please take a look at this post in (*blush*) [livejournal.com profile] koc_denny. I'm looking for people who might be interested in signing up under me in Age 3... most probably people who were officers of [livejournal.com profile] wechsler in Age 1 and are now 'orphaned', but anyone is welcome.

Interested people, please comment on the post in the community. Heckling and general geek-taunting is more than likely indicated on this post here. :)
