Meme of Much Money
Apr. 30th, 2003 03:27 pmYou find yourself with an unlimited supply of money...
Who would you tell first?
Probably my mum.
Would you give any away?
Yes, to family and friends.
Would you quit your job?
Yes.
You would? How would you do it?
Very very quickly, with a big smile on my face. Not so much at the thought of leaving this particular job (although that too)... mostly at the thought of not having to work anywhere ever again unless I choose to.
You have the choice of hiring any venue in the world for the celebration... where?
I'd have a couple (one for friends and one for family) of small but loud parties at whatever large secluded dwelling I purchased. I wouldn't hire a flashy venue and invite loads of people because I don't like many people.
What would be the first 3 extravagant items you bought?
Motorbike, car, present for
duranorak. Then I'd start looking for a house before I bought anything else, so I had somewhere to put stuff...
What would be the first trip you took?
Whatever the dealer had in stock. Oh, trip ;)
Not that interested in travel... Sydney, or possibly Egypt, but it would be way down on my list of priorities.
Oh actually, my sister is getting married in Cyprus this year, so it would be that I guess.
You can buy any building in the world. What would you buy?
I'd buy a nice house obviously... other than that, why would I want to buy a building?
Would you give any money to charity? Which one?
Yes, various. Some related to political campaigning, including motorcycle related ones, and some related to my health problems.
Would you have any corrective/cosmetic surgery? On what?
Maybe my eyesight, if they've got that to the point where it's worth having done... I've not researched it lately. I'd have all my body hair removed permanently. Nothing else springs to mind. Oh, possibly a couple of tattoo removals, to make room for better ones.
Where would you decide to live?
Somewhere secluded with good road access and a serious 'net connection.
Would you want to create your own business/company? What would it be?
Nope, I'd want to slack for a while. After that I might get bored enough to start doing something, but it would be more likely that I'd study rather than setting up a business.
You have unlimited funds!!! Invent something!
Teleporters. *nods at

Now that you don't have to work, are there any skills you'd want to learn?
Improve, rather than learn: juggling, fencing, coding, and many more...
Finally, give one example of something else you would do with your money, that no one else has listed...
*thinks*
- pay off debts
- sort out friends and family
- spend on toys and partying
No, I think that covers it all.
Oh, actually; with totally unlimited funds, I'd invest in space flight and particularly in colonisation of other planets. We need a route off this planet, it's way past full.

Date: 2003-05-01 08:39 am (UTC)Sorry, I just felt I had to know.
Talking of money, I owe you six quid. Maybe you could send me your address (eliz_chapman@hotmail.com) and then I can send you a cheque. I know it's not quite an unlimited supply, but still.

Date: 2003-05-01 08:51 am (UTC)I remove it all with depilatory creams at present, but it's tedious and so I don't do it as often as I should. A permanent solution would be nice, but last time I researched it, it was way too expensive. That, and finding salons willing to do 'all over' removals on a bloke is a lot tricker than finding ones that will do a girl, funnily enough...

Date: 2003-05-02 04:55 am (UTC)I'd have most of my facial hair (i.e. everything except eyebrows) removed as well actually, but it's hardly urgent as it takes me about three days to grow the kind of stubble most guys have by the evening. :)
