An Atari? I think my brother has one somewhere. It's not a console though, it's one of the ones that look like a PC. And sometime in the 80s it got added on one of those revolutionary things that meant you didn't have to put floppy discs in and out to run a program - erm - a Hard Drive, i think it was called. All of 24 MB *proud*
Sounds like an Atari ST - also popular with retro-gamers, but an entirely different class of beast to the 2600, which was the predecursor of the Playstation et al, I guess. The 2600 was originally released in 1977 :)
OMG!! I WANT one! That's so unfair! Had I not known they existed I would have been able to live out the rest of my life content without it. But now I've seen the gorgeousness of Circus Atari, Adventure (I've completed it lots of times yet I still feel it pulling at me), Breakout..
But WHERE is Space Invaders??
/me finds a reason not to buy one and breathes a sigh of relief

I have that on a TV-Boy console (similar idea, but tackier), so I can live without it on this one. Still would have been nice though...
