Bad car day, aftermath, part I
Dec. 28th, 2007 11:46 amGot a phone call today from the driver of the car that crashed into my car on Sunday (I left a note on his windscreen after figuring out who did it). He said he had no idea it had happened and was I sure it was him. I recommended he go and have a look at the back of both cars, then call me back.
He called me back and said 'um, yeah, looks like that was me', and apologised, which I thought was a good start. He gave me his address, I'll pop up there this evening and try to get his insurance details just in case, although I'd rather sort it out cash in hand for his sake if it's affordable. I have a nasty feeling it won't be though; he's broken my bumper which is a big wrap-round piece of plastic and will need replacing most likely - can't see that being cheap.
Anyway, that went slightly better than I was worrying it would. I guess we'll see how polite the conversation this evening is, and how stroppy he gets after the quotes come in.
