New juggling / spinning workshop
Oct. 11th, 2007 10:45 pmI popped into Oddballs in Camden on Tuesday afternoon and found out that the guy running the place has just started up a new space for jugglers/spinners to do their thing. Details are as follows:
Wednesday evenings, 19:30 - 21:30
Donation: £3 if you're employed, £2 if you're not
Venue: Maiden Lane Community Centre, St Pauls Crescent, NW1 9XZ. Apparently this is somewhere between Camden and Kings Cross.
There is room for staff/poi at present, although not loads of room, so if it gets popular fast then it might get crowded.
His goal is to get a regular reliable crowd of at least 30 people a week, then he's going to try to get a bigger better space. He mentioned the possibility of approaching the Electric Ballroom, which imho would ROCK as a spinning space. I'm going to try to get along to this one next week if possible - anyone else interested?

Seriously, appreciative spectators are generally very welcome at these things :)
Isn't this one really close to the flat of brotherly love? Like, two minutes walk?

Nov 3rd ~ Slight Tangent~ Paid job
Date: 2007-10-12 12:24 am (UTC)Are you able to put forward a team of fire and glo poi at short notice For Nov 3rd. Might need 6 bods, bois and galz not fussed.
Would need all of you spinning fire at the same time, then onto glo, then onto fire again. music will be mainstream and dance ahead of fireworks display.
Don't need to be synchronised apart from all spinning the fire or glo at the same time.
Location Bedfordshire.
Future comms on this subject by e mail please.
