I live near a bandstand called Arnold Circus. The people who maintain it do little events there from time to time. On Sunday 1st of April* this year they will be having a 'Circus on the Circus' event, where they close the roads in the area off and do juggling (etc) shows and workshops all day. They're working in partnership with Circus Space, the circus skills training school near Hoxton Square, so it should be a very good event. Anybody else fancy coming along? Bring toys!

* yes yes, I know. As far as I am aware, this is not an April Fools joke.

I'd guess from around 10am until it gets dark, but that's entirely a guess. Seems like an all-day kind of thing though, it'd be pointless closing roads off for an event only lasting an hour or two.

I work literally around the corner (Hoxton Square), so in summer I see loads of their students hanging around being far too cool and making me look crap by comparison :)

It's where i do my tumbling/acrobatics class each week... can't wait for summer as well... I get there with about half an hour before my class starts and despite it being a CIRCUS SPACE, they won't let me have a tiny corner to practice in, while I wait... apparently Devilstick is far too nouveaux to be considered a proper circus skill.... so yes devilsticking outside, can't wait!

...Too nouveaux... it's at least 2000 years old! *goes away muttering and grumbling*

ok well they were useful... went last night and when i asked them all i got was a lot of blank looks.... reception staff had heard nothing about it... they said maybe it was something being put on by someone who came to the Space (and not really much to do with them) or it could be something being put on by the Space and they just haven't told the reception staff ("because they've never done that to us before have they, nooooooo")
