David Cameron, discussing the integration of British Muslims:

"Inspiring as well as demanding loyalty from every citizen will require a new crusade for fairness." (my emphasis)

Good word David. Excellent word. No negative connotations to that one at all.

It wouldn't seem to make sense for him to be trying to stir up bad feeling. Maybe I'm not cynical enough :)

My reading of that is that he's deliberately referencing the original Crusades to make a stronger juxtaposition with what he thinks is needed. Shall we ask him? :)
