Edit -> Preferences -> Content -> 'Advanced' button to the right of Enable Javascript. Some very very useful ticky boxes. Enjoy.

Date: 2006-12-07 07:29 am (UTC)Something else that is a very useful plugin for Firefox is NoScript (https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/722/) which turns off Java and JavaScript (and optionally flash) on sites that you haven't set to allow scripting. It can cause one or two issues until you've enabled it for sites you really need it on like banking sites and most online shops, but it stops "interesting sites" from doing anything you don't want...
