Very brief hospital appointment...
May. 11th, 2004 10:31 amNo x-rays this time, my consultant just wanted to see if my ankle flexibility was improving. It is. He seemed quite happy about this.
He also repeated his caution to me from last time, that my bone density is down and will take some time to recover. I'm not really sure what this means for me - presumably I'll be more susceptible to breaking that ankle in the future, but I don't know how much more susceptible. I'll ask when I next have x-rays done, which I imagine will be at my next appointment - which is in four months time, when he plans to discharge me if I am walking unassisted at that stage.

It's taken such a long time to get this far (that's how it seems from my perspective, though granted, it may feel very different for you) it makes 4 months seems nothing at all, now it's that close :)
Do continue to take care though babe...keep exercising, and I hope you're talking supplements to help build that bone density back up? Every little helps :)
