I'm a bit confused by the history.

The world's best known coca drink [Coca-cola], however, came later. A pharmacist in Atlanta named John Pemberton had made his own coca wine. But when Prohibition outlawed alcohol in the States he had to replace the wine in his recipe with sugar syrup. Prohibition happened in the 1920s, I thought?

But later on it says:
In 1904, the manufacturers removed the cocaine from Coca-Cola.

Am I missing something?

Hrm... beats me. I didn't know when prohibition was so I didn't notice that when I read it, but your dates are correct. *shrug*

I thought that something didn't ring true about that... How long did the Prohibition last? Maybe he meant that the cocaine was dropped in 1924, or 1934.
