Should a guy have long fingernails (to look pretty) or short fingernails (for um, practical reasons)?

As long as the long nails are smooth (no jaggies) and the owner of them is careful, there's nowt you can do with short nails that you can't do with long. Except perhaps contact juggling. And playing the guitar. And stuff.
