*sigh* I'm trying... Frankly I think I'm more likely to have luck with magic. In the meantime, I need to learn to ride a bike and get a big one can take on the motorway. The first bit of that is definitely in the Plan for this year; the second bit may involve waiting for a financial miracle.

I'd stick to A roads... they're generally no slower on a bike, and much nicer to ride on. Besides, there aren't really any motorways from Cambridge to Oxford, which I imagine would be a common journey for you :)

This is all academic - at the moment I don't even have a moped. On the other hand I have a Source of Biketastic Information in the form of a sexy bloke, of which I intend to take full and shameless advantage.
