Today was my one year review at work. It went something like this:

"So Denny, how are things?"
"Um... I really like it here?"
"Good, good. We're very happy too - we'd like to give you an extra £1500 a year."
"Cool."
"Cool."

So that was nice.

So what fetishes are you into and what kind of clubs do you go to other than T.G? Are you into swingers clubs and BDSM etc?

A quick glance at my interests list should mostly answer those questions, to the extent that I want to answer them for a stranger.

I go to any clubs that catch my eye and that I have time and money to go to - my preference is for fetish/dance clubs rather than swingers or BDSM clubs, but it depends on the club, who else is going, who wants to go with me and in what capacity, and what mood I'm in that month/week/day.

Quite painless, I thought. I'm glad they agree that my focus has picked back up since earlier this year... things got pretty crappy for a while after [livejournal.com profile] lunernia split up with me in March, but they're falling back into place now.

I like reviews that go like that, rather than the rediculous piles of paperwork that stop you doing your actual work...

I don't suppose they have any more jobs going to they?

I am in a weird situation here. I am a temp - actually applied for perm originally. The job was re-advertised and they gave it to someone else. They have created another perm job, so I have to re-apply for that next month ... this will be the 3rd time I've had the interview for the job I'm currently doing.

Maybe I should be re-wiring my cv instead of writing this *shrugs*

The job market has got really weird over the last ten or so years. You can work for a dozen different companies without ever changing desks or responsibilities...

What kind of thing do you actually do btw? I know you were looking at a project lead role a while ago, is that your usual thing, or was that a sidetrack?

you know, i'm not really sure what i want or do ...

I used to be a CRM Consultant. I designed and Inmplemented sustomer care solutions for Telcos (Vodafone, BT O2 etc) and the like. I do need to figure out some kind fo career plan.

I know SQL Server and although it's not my job, I help the junior developers here get to grips with it and also help the lead design the database. I know VB6 and used to know C/C++ and a bit of Java. I don't think I want to be doing that now. I want SQL Server ot Oracle development and something else. The CRM package I used sat on SQL Server, but I'm happy tailoring other packages. Team lead, design, dba and developer. something along those lines. I think I@ll leave project management for another day ...
