High on today's list of people who'll be first against the (very very long) wall when my revolution comes... car-related businesses that quote prices excluding VAT to non-business customers.

So my driver's door window wasn't the "roughly £75" that I was quoted on the phone - it was £78+VAT, for a slightly more painful total of £91.65

And they had the cheek to wish me a merry Christmas as they left as well...

Depends if they gave it as a quote or an estimate, and either way yes. 'cos 78 squid is roughly 75, and prices are often quoted excluding VAT.

I think they expect you to claim on insurance for it.. but we all know that the insurance companies are the *FIRST* to hit the wall when the revolution comes... cunts.
