Went shopping. Stuff I wanted was in stock for once. Given that my local corner-shop is a Sainsburys hypermarket the size of a village, this shouldn't be so unusual, but it is. I now have more bottles of Oasis summer fruit drink than my fridge can hold. And they're back to being out of stock :) Interestingly they still have shelves full of the citrus fruit variety - do they not realise that this is because it's crap and no-one wants to buy it? I'm sure if I was writing a stock-control system, it would try to restock the things that people actually buy...
Leg hurts. However, it did sustain full body weight while walking around the hypermarket, sort of. Can't just stand on it though, and can't straighten it... there seems to be rather a lot of soft tissue damage around the knee area, particularly the back of the knee. I guess I didn't really have to deal with the soft tissue pain last time, because I was off my feet completely for longer than it took for that to stop hurting. At least this time I should be able to keep moving it as it heals up and not lose too much more of the range of movement in that leg.
I feel sick. Have done for most of the week. I'm not sure if this is due to the abysmal diet (two pizzas, two bowls of tuna-mayo pasta, and a chicken roll at work on Thursday, probably doesn't constitute regular meals for eight days) or from stress and worry and pain, or what. "A little from column A, a little from column B", I suppose.
Got paid. I'd forgotten that was going to happen. Nice feeling to check your bank balance and find it almost two grand up on what you were expecting, and realise that it's not an error.
I don't feel like I've had a weekend off. I feel like it's Friday evening, work a barely receded memory... but in a few hours I'll be off to bed and then it's Monday again. Bleurgh.

Date: 2004-09-26 08:54 am (UTC)Well if you ever run out, there's about four metres shelf frontage of it in Colliers Wood. They just seem to keep putting more and more of it out on the shelves, despite no-one buying it.
Glad you're sort of mobile again, er, again.
Heh, thanks. The whole tale is starting to get a bit epic now, I'd really like to reach the end and start a new story.

Date: 2004-09-26 11:27 am (UTC)On another note, and probably not the greatest of timing, but I found those " light weight " leg weights if you want them...probably cost a fortune to post, but if you let me know " who " and When you are being visited by someone from thes parts I will get the weights to them...
