I wanted to say thank you for pointing out my rather surprising triple post on

trishpiglet's blog, an error for which I have the gods of "This document contains no data" to thank. In my haste to remedy this error I inadvertently deleted the thread containing your message, making it difficult to given you an in-line acknowledgment. However, this did force me over here, which may not be such a bad thing. I must say I highly approve of your opinion of Pattern Recognition, so I may have to think about adding you to my regular reading list...

Hmm. I find myself quite eagerly looking forward to the next Gibson book again now, which is something that I'd lost after Idoru...

Yes, Idoru was a snooze, but I have returned to Pattern Recognition (in my head) over and over again. Very few books of late have held on that tenaciously - American Gods is about the only one that comes to mind.
