People who smoke at clubs should all hack up both their lungs now and get it over and done with. Then in future I could come home from a night out not smelling like this, and without sore eyes and a sore throat, which would be really nice.

Other than that, I had a fantastic night out at the Bizarre Burlesque, many thanks to goth_amalthea for getting guest list spots for bluecassandra and me. Quite good fun if you've got the money to spare, although it is pretty pricey. Oh, and apparently the cocktails are really pricey. *waves at denari and altered_state*

Tomorrow (or later today, to be precise) I will mostly be working from home, while everyone else at my company moves the contents of our old office to our new office. I got excused all the carrying stuff because of (a) being a gimpy cripple, (b) being a wuss, and (c) not even having a car with a useful boot capacity :) On the down side this means that every single fire-fighting incident when things go wrong with our client sites and servers is going to be forwarded to my mobile. Could be a long day.

On the plus side, the new office has a pool table upstairs. Sweet.

I know very little about some of the people on my Friends list. Some people I know relatively well. Some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you friended me and I thank you.

But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself. Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say, 'Ah, there's so and so - she likes office supplies and hentai.'

I'd love it if every single person who Friended me would do this (although I hardly expect this to happen). Yes, even you people who I know really well.

On the main road right outside my house, about 10 minutes ago. He's okay, in shock unsurprisingly. Rather more surprisingly, he didn't hit anything else, on a busy London road... fuck knows how he got it into that position in the first place without bouncing off someone else.

Edit: okay, I figured that one out. He lives almost directly opposite - his driveway is behind the white van in the 'head on' photo - so he's basically come off the driveway too fast, curved slightly, hit the post and been spun straight by the impact (hence the side dent). I bet his parents are gonna be impressed. No more playing GTA for that kid!

Hee hee hee...

Further to my stroppy entry about smoking in the early hours of this morning, I notice two full page adverts in Max Power this month placed by the NHS... for this informative website.

Made me laugh anyway.
