Screw you guys, I'm going home...

The swelling in my leg is pretty much all gone now... which means that, given my usual state of excessive skinnyness, you can feel screw heads quite clearly through various parts of my skin. The ones on the front of my shin-bone are now so obvious that I think I've sussed out what kind of screws they use, and I thought you all needed to know that they're cross-heads.

I suspect this lot is going to have to come out at some point, otherwise they're quite likely to just erode their way through into the light of day, which would be deeply unpleasant. I'm not looking forward to yet another general anaesthetic though, nor to the presumably weakened state of my bone when they withdraw 14 screws that are currently running through it - surely that will leave it resembling swiss cheese in some respects? Oh well... "Que sera, sera".
