"Three battle-axes,
Two shields for defence,
And a dwarf by clicking my link."

Okay, that works... this is still going to get difficult by day 7 or 8 though, I can tell. Reward my efforts. Please :)

If you're feeling really helpful, here are my officers (I get half their clicks too): one, two, three, four, five.

I saw this in someone else's journal, where they were contemplating New Year's resolutions. I don't make those any more, but I had an immediate sick fascination with the question. So, it's character assassination time:
What is my worst character flaw?

(as usual in my journal, anonymous comments are enabled and IP logging is off)

Traditional time for family arguments then.

Up to this year I've not actually noticed any of these in my family, not from when I was a little kid through to the present day. However, this year my dad managed to piss me off in a major way today (final straw in a big pile), so today I have:

* hung up on him
* refused to answer his calls thereafter
* emailed him telling him in quite vicious phrasing that I wasn't intending to answer his calls, would ring him when I felt like it, and if he starts teasing me again about subjects which trigger me into minor depressive episodes, he can expect this kind of response again
* arranged to have Xmas dinner with my sister and brother instead of him and my Nan
* rung him up, told him my new arrangements in about that many words, said goodbye and hung up again.

I think I'll go and have a bath now.

Subject: posting to Linux mail list
Date: Thu, 18 Dec 2003 11:02:52 -0800

I am a program manager in the Microsoft networking group, doing some
research around how we can improve our operating systems. My goal is to
help us identify capabilities, improvements, and features that Microsoft
should be focusing on to help our customers over the next 5 years or so.
I am particularly interested in hearing from Linux users, and get their
input about what they feel should be priorities.

I was wondering if you would mind if I posted a message on your Linux
mailing list (mk@mailman.lug.org.uk) asking for feedback? I want to ask
for people to e-mail me directly if they would be interested in taking
an on-line survey I have put together (sorry, I don’t want to post the
survey URL directly to the public).

If you don't feel this is an appropriate use of your list, that's fine.
Of course, I am always eager to hear your thoughts if you wanted to
share them. :-)

Thanks,

Michael S****
