Just tried to extend [livejournal.com profile] gothslut's paid account for another year, only to find both of the LJ pages dealing with taking money from customers appear to be broken. [1] [2]

Running a popular website with massive traffic with no incoming money? Surely that went out of fashion a few years back? :)

Update: they seem to be working again now :)

I had problems, but ended up paying via Paypal, which worked. Others have told me that people in the UK have had trouble unless they put their postcode in the zip code field.. but I'm not sure that's it for me..

You can ask Support, it is a known problem, anyway.

Oh, I don't mean they were subtly broken, I mean they were both 502 errors last night. They seem to be back now though...

The LJ people are just rather incompetent at running a serious fulltime webserver, especially since it's their only job.
Neat ideas, insufficient lack of operational rigour.
