Rang my mum to check it would be okay for me to stay at her place the night before the trial (it's in her local court, in Norfolk, as I was visiting her at the time I was given the producer). A few minutes after I get off the phone from her, my sister rings me... "Who's been a naughty boy then?". Ha ha. But she was ringing to offer me a lift across to my mum's place on the Wednesday night, a lift to court Thursday morning, and a lift back to MK Thursday or Friday depending on how she feels on the day.

I was just wondering how I was going to get to a court in Norfolk and back with due consideration to the fact that I may lose my licence while I'm there. So this has simplified matters considerably.

*big hugs to all my family, even though they won't read this - and especially to my sister*

I dunno your circumstances, but my dad is in a similar situation regarding his licence and is due in court on 9th June.

He was told if he had a need for his licence - i.e his job and could get a supporting letter from his employer then they will take it into consideration at court. He was told by the police that they do consider these things and may make it up in a fine.

Don't know if that advice would be useful to you, or even relevant. My dad was caught speeding - I dont' know what your producer was for, haven't been skimming your LJ that long.

Regardless, good luck in court and yay for nice families.
