Wrong. Wrong, Bad and Wrong.

I have just had one of the fundamental tenets by which I live overturned. This is always disorienting. I just wandered through my office and leant over one of the desks was a girl looking Really Bloody Attractive in cork platform sandals. Yes, cork platforms. The tenet in question is that platforms are invariably ugly clumsy clumpy looking things with no sexual appeal whatsoever... the fact that they were cork ones is just adding insult to injury really.

In my defence, I'd like to point out that they were maybe an inch platform at the front and I'd guess at least six inches at the back, making them the equivalent of a very high heel, and on a small pair of feet, and on a damn cute blonde. But even so.. platforms? Cork platforms???

I think I must be working too hard today. I probably need to go and lie down... with the blonde... in the platforms.

They sound similar to my favourite pair of sandals.. expect mine are cork effect and are actually made of beige plastic. Which is even more classy.. :/

But they go so well with all my favourite stuff.. and I have size 3 feet.. so I'm allowed, I think..? ?

I hate it when people ruin my preconceptions! I'm very fond of my preconceptions and have nurtured them for years and don't need people in the wrong kind of shoes destroying all that hard work! Still, at least you have eye candy, never a bad thing...

There's really no defence for this kind of thing. I must go out and find some high-heeled calf-high leather boots to remind you just exactly *why* there's really no defence for this kind of thing.

*grin* While reading Elle at the hairdresser's yesterday, I found myself lusting after exactly such shoes. I think they have more shape to them than the ones that were around in the Seventies and look much more cute.
