Sounds like a geeky band. Or maybe that's just me.

So anyway. I've wanted one of those sonic toothbrushes for ages... my teeth are a bit crappy, anything that'll help the survivors hang around for a bit longer has got to be a good thing :)

Yesterday morning I found one on special offer (Superdrugs - reduced from £100 to £67ish). Yesterday afternoon I charged it up, and last night I used it.

It definitely got my teeth very clean - almost as good as using a normal electric toothbrush plus flossing. I'm not sure it's worth quite as much money as it cost, but it's pretty impressive.

Tell you what though, it's terrifying to use - feels like having your teeth drilled, not cleaned.

I have an electric toothbrush, but I can only use it at night, never in the mornings. There's something about having your face vibrated before 9am that just ain't right.

I'm fine with a normal electric toothbrush in the mornings, but this one... I dunno. I didn't use it this morning.

Maybe I'll acclimatise after I use it in the evenings a bit more.

That's precisely why I went from an electric shaver to a blade.

I love my electric toothbrush, and I've noticed that since I've been using it my teeth have been a lot whiter than they were before, and stay feeling clean a lot longer too.

Well, I've been using an electric toothbrush for years - I didn't find it that different personally, although more convenient - I guess I must have been doing a thorough (and hence tedious) job with the normal toothbrush.

This is a sonic toothbrush though - it's an electric with extremely high-frequency vibrations running through it, as far as I can figure out. Hence why it sounds (and sort of feels) like a dentist's drill. Seems to work, but it's a bit scary.

So... how is it supposed to work? The vibrations make the food, plaque, tartar, etc. fall off?

I think that's the basic science bit, yeah. I can't see how else it would help.

Who looks at a perfectly good toothbrush and thinks "This could be a little more sonic"? :-)

I think I'd like to get one in order to modify it into a vibroblade. I've always wondered if there is any real-world practical research into vibro-weaponry but most of my net-surfing has yeilded results within the RPG world. If I attached a blade to a sonic toothbrush I could test it myself.
