I don't think that's either as uplifting, or as true as the auther thinks it is.

I did click on the bottom link though. I'll re-read it later, looking at the top link. The NWS images will probably improve my perception of the content

The pictures don't help. His point is essentially 'Well I've never been hurt, therefore rejection doesn't exist, PS I'm getting loads.'

Yes. I think he hugely underestimates the extent to which people, both individually and grouped into social circles and scenes, are different from each other.

I like the idea of an 'emergency penis'. I need one of those.

'don't stick your dick in crazy' -?
I weep for the sexual future of me, all my attractive friends and the broken children I fully expect to raise.

Yeah, I wasn't so sure about that piece of advice myself. Although I guess it is at least a change from the 'mad in the head, mad in the bed' cliche that Helen hates so much.

I think I hate both lines for exactly the same reason :)

"Don't fuck the crazy girl" hardly validates being crazy as a desirable character trait, which I believe was a large part of your argument the last time you discussed the other one with me.

Really? I thought it suggested that men needed to be told not to, because otherwise they naturally would, crazy being so attractive and all that? Could just be me, though.

Ah, I see. I think you may be over-interpreting, but then I say that a lot.

It's also possible I've just developed a twitch about any crude, generalising statements about crazy women :)

Isn't this basically "glass half full/glass half empty"? I think he has a point, but I don't think it's particularly new or profound.

Have you read Bete du Jour's post (http://betedejour.blogspot.com/2008/07/speed-dating-part-i-seduction-line.html) on speed dating, seduction and rejection? The conclusions aren't as pithy, but I think the story is interesting.
