Move along, nothing to see here...
Aug. 23rd, 2007 09:01 amThe opening night of the exhibition last night was, I think it's safe to say, a huge success professionally. The girls were both very happy when it started, and then hysterically happy when people started buying things. I think they sold four or five paintings and nearly half of their 3D pieces by the end of the evening. (Update: someone just got hold of me on IRC to buy two more of the paintings, making seven sold now)
For me, the night was an interesting emotional see-saw, with some people being spectacularly inconsiderate of my feelings, and a much much larger group of people being incredibly considerate - coming to find me when they saw something that they knew would have upset me, pulling me out of corners, hugging me back to functional a hundred times or more. There are many good people in my circle of friends.
