I've found a flat I like. I've put an offer in. In the morning I will speak to my IFA again to start the ball rolling on getting a mortgage agreed in principle.

Yes, that was about the timescale I was expecting. I used to own my place in Milton Keynes, so I'm familiar with the general process - the main difference this time is that the numbers are 5 times as big! :)
