dennyNow some wanker has reported my (old) car, parked in the road right outside my house, for being untaxed - and it's been clamped. £200 within 24 hours or they impound it (and then take me to court for £240 + £15 a day).
It's obviously one of my neighbours who's reported it, as they want to park in the space it sits in. Of course, the only reason it's parked in the road in the first place is to keep the entrance to my driveway clear, because the morons who used to park there always parked too far forward and blocked the turn into my drive.
Quite simply, I can't afford to get it unclamped, so I'm going to go to court for this one.
Update: (2003-02-01) (ooh, pretty date) Apparently I can 'disclaim' the vehicle, which basically means they scrap it and I don't have to pay any of the clamping/impound fees. As they come to more than the car is worth, that's what I'm going to do. I'll still be prosecuted for keeping an untaxed vehicle on the road, but that was going to happen either way.
