I think it was squiddity that mentioned this stuff at the weekend. It looks worth a try... I shall pop down to Boots and try to get some this week.

In other news, my home connection appears to have fallen victim to the continuing DDoS attack on LJ which is preventing some people from posting (or editing) long posts and comments, updating userinfo, etc. Fortunately I post most of my rambling crap from work anyway ;)

Yeah, we used some of that last year. More effective than the stuff that's just water in a can.

Just a click glance at the site, but is this not just a container of water than spurts it through a narrow nozzle to cool it?!?
It probably is better at cooling you than just a bottle of water, but it doesnt seem very environmentally friendly, and I couldnt find a price but I imagine they're charging a bit for it.

TBH it just seems like someones get-rich-quick scheme.

I think it contains some kind of chemicals to make it evaporate more quickly than plain water would, thereby increasing its cooling effect quite dramatically according to whoever it was that told me about it on Saturday.

I was just being a bit skeptical as I didnt see that on the site - as far as I can see it's just distilled water :S

Either way it probably works very well, but I imagine they're making a fair bit of money out of it ;) (I'm in a pessimistic mood)

I haven't found UK pricing anywhere yet - I'm going to wander down to Boots after work and see how much the stuff costs.
