The guy across the road is working on his bike...
Keeps coming back in the street, tinkering, then zooming around the block for a test-run...
He's in earshot almost the whole way around.
I've just realised I'm almost holding my breath, waiting for the 'screeeech-CRUNCH', every time he does it.
Wonder how long this is going to last.

Date: 2003-10-05 06:32 pm (UTC)Like I said at the get go..the emotional trauma is one hard to quantify..so back to the doctors for you ...get it on record...cos the court and or insurnace companies ain't gonna shell out bucks on what they see as a lame sob story , even though we all know it's the truth.
re the dude over the road, if he's gonna bend himself theres " jack " you can do about it...focus on your healing, the trauma is done, onwards for you....

Date: 2003-10-06 04:39 am (UTC)I still can't cross on the section of road I was knocked down on, I shudder when I drive over it...and hot summer days when the air smells of warm tarmac, I can still feel blood running over my hand.
That accident was 15 years ago...I'm over it, but as is the case with all life changing experiences, the memories are always ready to to be triggered.
As others have said, make sure you get this recorded and on file **hugs**
