Bye bye Clarke. As
hashbangperl has already commented, it's just a shame that the perceived reason for him being kicked out is that he let down the Daily Mail readership (by letting criminal foreigners run free) instead of being given the boot because he pandered to the nasty fascists (ID cards, Abolition of Parliament bill, etc).
I'm pleased to say that in my area (Merton), Labour lost control of the council (it's now hung between Labour and Tory, with a few independents in there to keep things interesting). This makes me happy. Somewhat bizarrely I ended up placing one vote with each of the non-Labour parties, as there was only one Green and one LibDem candidate - so I put my third vote with the Tory whose postcode was closest to mine :) Sadly there were no Labour party people hanging around the place for me to harass after I'd voted, which was disappointing.
Cut out and keep guide to New Labour's 'achievements':

This might appeal to some people on my flist:
An invitation to a party, a farce in three acts
