denny: (Lounging around)

I seem to be slipping back into a pattern of getting slightly less sleep than I need each night - getting to bed gone midnight, sleep around 1am-ish, waking up at 8am, means that I'm permanently missing an hour or two of sleep that I need if I'm not going to feel crappy all the time. Must start going to bed at 11pm again, it's tedious but it really helps me feel better.

Only managed to get to the gym once last week, and spent almost the whole of this weekend in bed. However, given how much my legs ache today, I may have got enough exercise during said weekend anyway. :-D

In-between 'exercising' yesterday, I was soul-harvested at random intervals - see new icon for one of the less objectionable results. Triple thanks go to [livejournal.com profile] libellum; for taking the photo, making the icon, and for making me look that cheerfully worn out in the first place.

This week I am very much looking forward to seeing [livejournal.com profile] cryx for dinner and randomness mid-week. I'm also hoping that TG turns out to be fun on Saturday despite my original plans for the night falling through.

I will try to remember to poot you offline near pumpkin time. In fact I should probably get into the habit of earlier nights as well - naps are possible since I don't work 9-5, but they are not ideal. I do at least feel vaguely caught up on my sleep after the weekend, although this might have been undermined slightly by staying up til 2am reading. (It was work reading though! So that's okay, right?)

Hope (all!) your dates this week are successful, you popular creature :D (And I am sorry I can't make it to TG, but sort of glad I don't have to brave the furries...)

Were you reading that book you were so enthused about? I think late-night work reading is definitely more allowed than random reading, yes.

I dunno why everyone is so worried about the furries... girls in kitty-ears are teh cute :)

Must start going to bed at 11pm again, it's tedious but it really helps me feel better.

I've got a calendar entry on my phone that alerts me at 11:00 each (work) night to go to bed, and I just reschedule it when I set my alarm. It worked, right up to last night when I'd left my phone in the living room and was on the computer till stupid o'clock...

Girls in kitty ears = teh cute. Tall broad shouldered loud people with fur/masks/claws = teh scary.

Ah.
That is our actual bed! The idea was inspired by something that [livejournal.com profile] d_floorlandmine posted...
(It's one that came wtih the flat - the landlord wouldn't remove one, which is a shame as mine has wooden bars rather than a headboard.)

It's a nice photo of you.

I did my first stage show this weekend at the Scottish (renegade, not main show, but still!)

A devilstick routine that I've been starting to sketch out - mostly improvised on the spot but to music that I'm starting have a really good idea about by [livejournal.com profile] covertmusic. I even managed to get a balance and a flip-balance-catch out of it despite my hands shaking so much I could see the vibration when watching the balance.
