Question me(me)
Jan. 10th, 2006 11:50 amLJ can leave you feeling really close to people that actually you know surprisingly little about. So, here's your chance to ask me something you think you should know about me... something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about. Ask away.
Then post this in your LJ and find out what people don't know about you.

Date: 2006-01-10 01:07 pm (UTC)Didn't he drop some tapes in a puddle and then put them in the drives anyway, or something like that? Not quite as good as the time they dropped a whole mainframe on the floor from a great height, but quite funny nonetheless.

Date: 2006-01-10 01:27 pm (UTC)Our computer room is on the 3rd floor adn we have a door in the side of the building for getting kit in and out - dropping a mainfram from that height would be worth watching :)

Date: 2006-01-10 03:49 pm (UTC)- what's your handwriting like?
- where did you spend most of your early life?
- how many brothers/sisters do you have etc?
- are you vegetarian? Are there any things you hate eating?

Date: 2006-01-10 04:18 pm (UTC)Terrible. Used to be okay, but I never have any reason to write any more... if I need to make a note of something at work or at home, I use a text editor on my (always on) computer :)
- where did you spend most of your early life?
Hemel Hempstead, from age 2 to age 16.
- how many brothers/sisters do you have etc?
2 of each. Actually they're all my half-brother/sister - we're all related through my mum.
- are you vegetarian?
Nooooooooooooooooo! Need Meat!
- Are there any things you hate eating?
Peanuts make me sick almost instantly. Other nuts have a similarly unpleasant effect, strength of reaction determined by strength of taste. There are numerous foods I dislike for various reasons... the reasons other people find odd are usually the ones about 'texture'. For instance, eating sweetcorn feels to me like biting big whiteheads - pop, and then a flood of squishy stuff in your mouth. Ick. So I don't like sweetcorn :)
In general I think I'm quite a fussy eater. Reading the comments on my recent food-related posts will probably bear this out.

Date: 2006-01-10 03:58 pm (UTC)Rephrasing: Do you fall in love with boys/men like you do with girls?
(Dont know if that should be obvious or not, but Im curious. )

Date: 2006-01-10 04:37 pm (UTC)How are you finding London compared to Milton Keynes?
How is your leg doing?
What distro's are you running atm, and if still Debian, which version?
Ok, the last one isn't exactly about you, I'm just thinking about distros to play with atm...

Date: 2006-01-10 04:50 pm (UTC)My leg isn't enjoying the onset of the cold weather very much. I'm currently waiting to hear a date for the surgery to remove the metalwork, after which things will be quite bad again for a while, but hopefully better in the long run.
Debian testing at home and on my workstation at work, RH ES3 and ES4 on servers at work. I hear the Debian installer is less horrible these days :)

Chocolate fudge cake.
Okay, now I'm hungry.
