duranorak came to stay at mine. We weren't expecting to see each other for a couple of weeks, so it was nice to see her sooner, and a very 'interesting' visit it was too *grins at the kitten*
This morning we got in the car to take her to the station, with me already a few minutes late for work (I don't like getting up, and I've got no company loyalty at all after yesterday's IE announcement). Then I found my car battery was flat (it doesn't like the cold). So I charged it up, and posted to lj a few times while I waited :)
Once I'd droppedduranorak off, I headed towards work, only to be pulled over by the police (again) before I got there. This time it transpires that my car shows up on their systems as being driven by a disqualified driver (funny how the jobsworth in Norfolk didn't mention that?). So I've got Yet Another Producer. At least I know all my paperwork is in order this time, after last week's nightmare. Oh yes, and they couldn't find my driving license on their DVLA system until I gave them my old surname - I changed it about ten years ago and my license has shown the current one for that long, so I've no idea what that was about...
I get to work, finally, and find that our office has turned into a construction site (I dunno, they're installing desks and stuff) and I'm now crammed into a one-person office with four other people until these guys finish wrecking the place. It's so hot in here just from excess body heat that we've had to open the window!
Today seems to be on a steady downhill slope (that's what I get for waking up happy I suppose). This is a slightly worrying trend given that I'm driving to a party in London this evening! If any gods are listening, I could do without any more vehicle related trauma. Just thought I'd mention that.
